28 Days Later (2002) - The film that is a post-apocalyptic tale of the spread of a disease that transforms people to zombies raging with fury is a terrifying and emotional experience to watch. Director Danny Boyle is masterful, and the (blog post) performances by the team, including Cillian Murphy are excellent.
